  • Spectrum Certification Engineers support the execution of the National Level spectrum certification process for mission critical systems. The successful candidate will have the sufficient radio frequency (RF) engineering background required to perform detailed spectrum analysis, prepare and track DD Form 1494s and EL-CID files, and provide RF Engineering guidance/technical inputs to System Program Offices;(SPO) submissions across all phases of the government acquisition life cycle. The candidate will also participate in Service level process improvement initiatives to identify trends impacting timely certification approval actions by the Spectrum Planning Subcommittee (SPS), Equipment Spectrum Guidance Permanent Working Group (ESG PWG), and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
  • Performs Radio Frequency Engineering assignments of major complexity. Includes antenna design, both reflector and array systems, frequency synthesizers, transmitters and receivers.
  • Reviews submitted DD Form 1494’s/EL-CID, Application for Equipment Frequency Allocation, for completeness, correctness, and consistency.
  • Compares requested allocation bands with ITU and US Tables of Frequency Allocations contained in the NTIA Manual of Regulations and Procedures for Federal Radio Frequency Management.
