2025 is off to a great start! Next Phase to support the Health and Human Services in fighting healthcare fraud.
Beating out 3 bidders, Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. (Next Phase) is pleased to announce the contract award for the Master Data Management (MDM) system at the Health and Human Services. Under this contract, Next Phase provides accurate data to be used in fighting fraud, waste and abuse in HHS programs. This award marks the beginning of our seventh year of service to HHS for this program and offers new opportunities to further innovate and modernize data products used to fight fraud in federal and state healthcare programs.
Impact that Matters
This contract enables HHS program integrity contractors (UPICS, MEDICS, RACS, etc.), the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Justice (DoJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), U.S. Attorney’s Office, 92 private health care payment companies, all 50 State Attorney General and Law Enforcement Offices, 41 state/local jurisdictions, and 20+ healthcare associations, to have accurate provider data necessary to stop fraudulent payments. In 2023 alone, the data provided under this contract was used by these organizations and law enforcement partners to save Medicare an estimated $14.9 billion and produced a return on investment (ROI) of $8.3 to 1. In FY 2023, federal and state collaborative program integrity efforts for Medicaid and CHIP resulted in estimated federal share savings of $2.3 billion (Report to Congress, Fiscal Year 2023 Annual Report on The Medicare and Medicaid Integrity Program).
Next Phase will continue its exceptionally rated support of enterprise MDM by performing the following scope of work: Agile Transformation Services, Human-Centered Design Operations & Maintenance, Cloud Services Configuration, Design, Development, & Maintenance, DevSecOps, MDM Design & Development, ensuring Data Privacy & Security: Prioritizing data privacy and compliance with the highest security standards to protect sensitive information.
