Physics is Fun!

We worked with a local middle school to teach Physics through model rocketry.  Students experimented with rocket “wing design”, modifying rocket kits to see how various orientations impacted flight path. More than 30 students spent time building, flying and taking data on the flights.

Next Phase Receives SPARC IDIQ Award

The U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Department, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), awarded Next Phase Solutions and Services, Inc. (Next Phase) a multiple-award 10 year Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) wide Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a ceiling of $25 Billion. Under the Strategic Partners Acquisition Readiness Contract (SPARC) IDIQ task orders, Next Phase will  provide strategic, technical, and program management advice, guidance and support services to facilitate the modernization of business processes and supporting systems and their operations. These systems will include the Federal Healthcare Exchange and Medicare/Medicaid information technology systems. All Department of Health and Human Services Operating Divisions (HHS OPDIVs) may place orders under this contract.

Next Phase Awarded CMS FFM Testing Task Order

Next Phase was awarded a Subcontract on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace Testing Support Team (MTST) contract to support the Consumer Information and Insurance Systems Group (CIISG) under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) efforts to provide comprehensive testing services for ACA Marketplace application components and services delivered by multiple component contracts. Next Phase joins in celebrating our Prime Contractor’s (ManTech) win and having the opportunity to work with a powerful team of CMS contractors. The ManTech team also includes Quality Software Services, Inc. (Optum DBA/QSSI), RELIS LLC, Mathematica Policy Research (MPR).

Next Phase Awarded NOAA Engineering Contract

The Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (DOC/NOAA) has awarded Next Phase a contract to map spacecraft-to-end user data flows and users needs for the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) program. This effort will inform requirements and provide a comprehensive understanding of user impacts as they relate to RFI in a shared spectrum environment.  Our partner, Alion Science and Technology, joins us as a valuable partner.  Alion brings more than 40 years of experience in spectrum engineering, as well as numerous years of experience supporting NOAA and other government agencies with the challenges of spectrum sharing.
